How the DNA Series works
The DNA Series is a set of 36 profiles, each named after a strain with DNA added to the end: Gelato DNA, Sour Diesel DNA, GG#4 DNA, Blue Zushi DNA, Tangie DNA and Purple Churro DNA among them. The aim is to mirror the aroma and flavour of the original strain as closely as possible. The ingredients line lists both cannabis-derived and botanical-derived terpenes.
It suits makers who have already settled on the strain they want to reproduce, hobbyists comparing a reference name against other lines, and trade buyers who need a strain-true option beside their sweeter infused lines. If you want the fundamentals first, read what terpenes are. Each product page lists three aroma notes, which makes the series quick to compare against the strain you are trying to match.
The listed notes split into recognisable groups. Earthy pine and spice cover OG Kush DNA, Afghan Kush DNA and GG#4 DNA. Diesel and sharp lemon cover Sour Diesel DNA, Chem de la Chem DNA and Permanent Gas DNA. Berry and grape run through Gumbo DNA, God’s Gift DNA and Granddaddy Purple DNA, and citrus fruit through Tangie DNA, Mimosa DNA and Green Crack DNA. Mint, cream and pastry notes turn up on Kush Mintz DNA, Gary Payton DNA and Purple Churro DNA.
For comparison, Diamond Line is the smaller, cannabis-derived collection with fuller descriptions, and Classic Strains is the plainer botanical-derived set of standards. The DNA Series sits between them, and several names overlap, so ordering two versions of one strain is an easy way to learn what you prefer. Our Blue Zushi guide is a good worked example.
Choose one profile per aroma family, buy 2 ml of each, and mix them in a small batch using the terpene calculator and mixing guide. Rest the batch before you judge it.
Handle the bottles as concentrates, with gloves and eye protection, away from heat and flames, and sealed after every use.
What does DNA mean in Elite Terpenez DNA Series terpenes?
DNA is the name of the series and the suffix on each product. Each profile is built to mirror the aroma and flavour of the original strain it is named after, such as Gelato DNA or OG Kush DNA. Compare the three listed notes with the strain you know.
Which DNA Series profiles are citrus led?
Tangie DNA is listed as sweet tangerine and orange juice, Mimosa DNA as orange juice and tropical citrus, Super Lemon Haze DNA as sharp citrus and sweet lemon peel, Thai Stick DNA as bright citrus, and Green Crack DNA as juicy mango with zesty citrus.
What is the difference between the DNA Series and Classic Strains?
Both reference well-known strains, and many names, including Gelato, OG Kush and Blue Dream, appear in each. The DNA Series lists cannabis-derived and botanical-derived terpenes together and is built to mirror the original strain. Classic Strains lists botanical-derived terpenes only. Compare matching names in 2 ml bottles.
Which DNA Series profiles smell of grape or berry?
God's Gift DNA and GDP DNA are listed with dark grape, Granddaddy Purple DNA with juicy grape, Dulce De Uva DNA with sweet grape and caramel, Moon Puppies DNA with ripe berry, and Blue Lobster DNA with sweet blueberry and tropical fruit.
Is the DNA Series a good place to start if I already know my target strain?
Yes, it is a natural first stop when you have a strain in mind, because the name tells you the target. Check the three listed notes, order 2 ml, and test a small batch. If the finish is not quite right, try the same name in another line.
